Disco Fantasy

Last night at the Tribeca Grand Hotel, we went to see Lovefingers (www.lovefingers.org) Loud-E, and Tako DJ. Loud-E and Tako are from Rotterdam, and Lovefingers is from California. It was such a treat to hear Loud-E DJ, because he plays exactly what I love listening to, great disco tunes! I had the privilege of speaking with him for a moment, and he was such a kind person, truly appreciative of my praise. Central Saint Martins Fall 2007

Each season, I look to find the most ingenious designers, the most new, fresh and exciting talent. As I look at all of the collections, one of every few designers really grab my attention. The Central Saint Martins collections always bring excitement to the future of fashion as we know it. Here are my favorites from this crew. Tessa Birch, Seon Ju Kam (2), Mattijis Van Bergen, Chemena Kamali, and the team of Jamie Bruski Tetsill and Alexandra Agoston.

Polka Dot Fever

Tracy Reese (top 3 photos) and Luella Bartley (second 2 photos) have a similar trend that is being shown, polka dots. Lets see if anymore designers will follow.

No, this isn't the Karen Walker from Will & Grace, it's Karen Walker, the fashion designer from New Zealand! Her spectacles are amazing, as are the brightly colored pieces of her latest fall 2007 collection, just shown at fashion week!

Egyptian Lover

Only real men wear sparkly shirts! Here is the one and only Egyptian Lover, live at Studio B, for the Hello, Nurse! party. He is a true performer. This was his first time playing in NYC, so Brooklyn definitely gave him a warm welcome!

Club Love

Last night we went to Club Love for Strobe Lodge featuring dj's Darshan Jesrani of Metro Area, Citizen Kane, and DJ Spun. When we first got there, they were showing this film, Camille 2000, which is a futuristic looking Italian love fest, very interesting indeed. The dj's played various disco and latin inspired songs over the film, to create a new mood, which was amazing. The rest of the night was filled with dancing!

I love this. I have watched it so many times! Enjoy!

The Roxy

Jonathan and I went to the Roxy Roller Skating Rink last night on a whim. It was pretty fun, but for the price, and as many people as there were skating and being annoying, including old guys in tight shorts with fanny-packs on, it became tiresome. Here are some photos none-the-less.
